First day of big girl school!

At London's awesome daycare, they have a policy that babies have to stay in the baby room until they can walk. Poor London was the oldest one in her class by months and months since she wasn't all that interested in letting go and going for it! Hurray though, because she has now gotten moved up to the 1 year old class! I talked to her teacher this morning and she said she LOVED it! She climbed all over everything and loved the big space to play in and that she absolutely had a blast! Yay! Here's my sweet thing on her first day of big girl school!
Our weird dog's favorite place to sleep... in the clean clothes hamper... one day I'll smarten up and start folding the clothes BEFORE the dog makes her next in them...

Videos from the beach

I think we burned the 'photo shoot' pictures in the wrong format so they are going to mail me another CD with all of our pictures on them. May be a few weeks, but Ill get them on here eventually. In the meantime, here is the last of what I had on my camera.

Here's London on the car ride at the outlet mall... pretty uninteresting, but it's cute that she keeps patting Garfield's head!

Here she is walking... I've tried to get this video seventeen times but she always sits down when I hit 'record'!

Memorial Day

Powers, London, and I met up with our friends, the Bridges, for Memorial day weekend at the beach. We absolutely had so much fun! We came home sunburned, stuffed, and still giggling about all the nonsense times we had! Vacation gone good! The Bridges just bought an awesome camera and they were sweet enough to give us a Londie Lu photo shoot. The pictures turned out great, but I have to figure out how to get them off the dvd we burned. Great news, London loves to swim, and now loves the ocean, waves, and DRY sand... she didn't much care for the sand when she was wet and it stuck to her...  Here are the first wave of pictures from my camera...

Our first mall 'car ride'! There's a video to come later but it's still loading.
They both had so much fun during their bubble bath!

Our beach neighbors had EVERYTHING you could think of for the beach! They had a 13 month old and had a baby pool, two umbrellas (plus the rented 'brella and chairs), a pack n play, beach cart, cooler, and umpteen chairs. London decided to take part in some of their goodies while we were there!

The past few weeks

Well, a lot has happened the past few weeks! Our most exciting feat... London has learned how to walk all by herself! Most fitting, she learned while hanging out with Papa, her 95 year old great-grand daddy! It was so special to be celebrating her first steps in the same room as my grandfather!

Two weekends ago, we went to Columbus so Powers could tend to his beehives and we could hang out with Dad and visit with Papa. Mom was out of town but surprised us and came home early! Woo hoo! It was great to be home and just relax. The next week, London's day care was closed, so Lulu went to spend the first part of the week in Columbus with Mom and Dad. We also went to the Doctor for our 15 month check up and surprisingly, she is tall and thin... we've been calling her every loving tubby name in the book for a while now, because her belly is IN CHARGE, but she's only in the 20% in weight, 75% in height. Doc said she is healthy, happy, and right on track! My big growing girl!

Here are a LOT of pictures from our past few weeks. Im not sure these will all be in order since Im posting so many, but Ill do my best!
Columbus, can you see the rainbow in the background?

 Renny's new funny shoes! :)

If I had to picture heaven...

I picture it being just like my weekend. Heaven would have a few more key people involved that I love so much (namely Renny) but otherwise, this weekend was as close as I can possibly imagine!
I took a mental picture of this moment and I don't think I'll ever forget it... listening to 3 of my favorite people talk... right before we had a car dance party (initiated by London Lu Lu Lane.. thank you very much!)
Barry and Lauren bought a new house Friday (pictures to come) and I was put on twins duty for Saturday while they moved! WOOO HOOO! I couldn't have been more excited to have the whole day to play with these little people! They are so fun! Luckily one of our good friends was having a 'water' bday party. I wasn't sure what to expect, but what we found was so much better than I could have imagined! Water/bouncy/fun machine. I was so jealous I was almost 30 and way to old to play in this thing. If I were 3, I would have been all over this...

The kids played and played and played. If Caden looks blue in these pictures, it's because he was. It's not just the blue of his surroundings. Poor kid doesn't have any meat on his bones and the water was too cold for him. He was shivering violently. Poor child! He would not get out of the water though! Anytime he got out, I set him out in the sun to thaw! He tried to ride a bike at one point but couldn't get it to move forward because his knees were knocking together too much! All three kids had a blast at the party!

We did, however, have our very first bully encounter! Elizabeth came up to me crying at one point saying, 'Im not a baby! Im a big girl!'. I asked her what was going on and she told me another girl at the party was calling her a baby. I told her to shake it off and go play. A few minutes later I looked over and this slightly older girl was in Elizabeth's face, pointing her finger in her chest, saying, 'You're a baaaaaaaaaby. Your not a big girl, you're a baaaaaaaaaaby.' Seriously! I was furious! I politely explained to her that Elizabeth was a big girl too and that seemed to be enough for her. She ran off.... to go dead arm my baby, KNOCK HER TO THE GROUND and STEAL HER TOY! I snatched her up and gave her a talking to about being mean to other kids! Can you believe it!? Lord, please don't let London be a bully! I was mortified!

We came back to our house and I had this there waiting on me... my mother's day card from Serenity. Click on the picture to enlarge it ( i think ).. You've got to read it! Am I the luckiest girl in the world or what? This is the sweetest card I've ever gotten! Serenity is so wonderful!

Powers followed this up with a bottle of wine and  bubble bath!! Yay Powers! Great job!! Then we dunked all the kids in the bath together! So fun! (Except the fighting over toys part...) This was also Elizabeth's time to ask lots of questions that I didn't know the answer to, like, 'Why does London have a booty?'

We spent Sunday at our sweet next door neighbors pool. London loves to swim so we had a great time just being together as a family. All in all, best mother's day ever! I love my family so much! Thank you everyone for making it such a wonderful weekend!
Oh, ps. London loves to dance. LOVES TO DANCE. Here she is dancing with her new favorite toy...
