I am 6 months old!

I weigh 15 lbs 10 oz

I'm in the 75% in my height (tall drink of water)

I'm in the 50% in the heavy weight division

and I have a small melon at 10% head circumference- dont worry, doc wasnt worried at all that I'm a precious pea head!

I grinned like a monkey at everyone who came to see me in the doctor's office today until they shot me with all those shots- then I was UN happy... but not for long! No grins on the way out but I was a big, strong girl and my mommy is so proud of me!

I am a total love!

The journey of speech begins!

London has started communicating! How fun! She's been a mostly quiet little thing, but i think she just gets so much action during her fun weeks, that her weekends are surely down time... aka. boring! This weekend I noticed her saying 'ahhh ba!' and 'rah' a lot. I started saying them back to her and she was DELIGHTED! So cute how excited she got when we would 'talk' to each other! I cant wait to see where we go from here! She is a doll and I am overwhelmed with how much more i love her every day! We are so blessed to have such a happy child!

Where's Renny??

Renny climbed her first ever tree this weekend! I know! First ever! She was so excited and we were so proud of her! Can you see her in this tree? She blends pretty well!!

Tux thought he had tree'd the big one! He was on point! So funny! He couldn't wait for dinner to come down the tree! I think he was a little disappointed... little girls dont taste good! :)

Girls Day/ Boys Day

Friday after lunch Barry took Caden to the hunting club for a little boys rough housing. Caden came home with so many stories! 'We rode a TRACTOR!!! Daddy killed a 'nake like this, pow pow pow' (Barry shot a snake with his gun!) As a preemptive strike to help lizzy cope without caden, we tried to make a big deal of 'girls day'! Here's lizzy getting pumped up!

Barry and Caden came home late evening just like this- soaking wet and shirtless. It was adorable!

While Caden was telling us stories, Barry got all gussied up and he and his DROP DEAD GORGEOUS WIFE went on date night!! I had the fortune of being able to bathe the kids before bed which is one of my very favorite things in the world! Note: caden prayed for the tractor and for his fun day before bed! :) So sweet!

A meal fit for kings!

The kids think everything involving Booper and Anddaddy belongs to only Booper. 'Booper's House, Booper's beach, Booper's car...' Poor dad, all that hard work and no one gives him credit! The whole family loaded up and went to 'Booper's House' for a long weekend this weekend and it was SO FUN! We didn't do anything in particular... it was just fun! Here are pictures from our great weekend!

Barry, Lauren, Caden, Lizzy, London and I were treated to a fine lunch at Din Din's! Mattie Sue has been working with Din Din for 60 years! 60 Years!!! Holy smoke! In that 60 years she has perfected fried chicken, broccoli cheese casserole, green beans.... the list goes on and on! We ate until we hurt but it was so worth it!

We love when precious couples get engaged!

A week or so ago I told everyone about our exciting news! Amy and Ryan got engaged! I asked her to send me a few pics and the engagement story so I could post on the good ole family blog! We are so excited for them! I promise to keep everyone updated as they make plans! We love you Amy and Ryan!!

"We went to the Keys for a vacation with Ryan's family and to lobster during the mini season. Little did I know, he had the ring all week and tried a few times to ask me to marry him, but it never worked out (but, some of his weird behavior that week makes a little more sense now!) When we got back to Perry we rode to the beach to take some of the vacation supplies back, then to have dinner at a seafood restaurant in Steinhatchee. On our way there, he stopped at a beach called Hagans Cove and we watched the sun set. He started talking about how much his family likes me and how he wanted me to be a part of his family...then he got down on one knee and said, "Amy Brett, will you be my wife?" Ah, I melted...and obviously said yes! It was absolutely perfect! Now we are planning a March wedding and just can't wait!! :) We will definitely keep you updated on more specific details! Love to all of you! Amy"

updates on our life

hey guys! sorry its been so long since I've blogged! a few updates- my car was broken into last week and i have been busy juggling everything that goes along with that. Unfortunately they took my purse, computer, etc etc etc. I know, not smart of me at all to leave my things in my car, but I've now learned a super expensive lesson. boo.

what were up to these days:
Barry's family just got back from a week long beach trip! If i can get pictures from their trip, ill post them for you guys! I saw a few precious pictures of the twins in pirate hats!
Charley just joined a softball travel league and rumor is they're good... really good! I cant wait to watch her in action again. Plus, she gets prettier by the day... its unbelievable to watch! She is turning into a gorgeous, smart, wonderful woman... no matter how many books we put on her head to stop the growing up! I love her so much!
Serenity has gone back to Jackson for the school year. Boo. We loved having her live with us this summer! She was, like always,just a doll and she lights up our life! She and our neighbors daughter were best friends all summer and I'm so thankful she had a playmate for the summer! I know we were super boring for her but she was a great sport! I miss her to death!
Londie Lu just gets more precious by the day! She has gotten so much personality...which makes being a working momma way hard. I'm looking for ways to cut back so we can spend more time with her! 1 and a half hours every night is just not cutting it. I need more of her in a big way! We started her on cereal...it took a day or two but then she took to food like a fish in water. Girlfriend LOVES to eat! Her first meal was when Powers's parents were here and she had sweet potatoes everywhere! It was so much fun! She is now eating as much as we will give her! Big girl! We'll go back to the doctor for her 6 month checkup next month, so Ill share her stats then! She is tall and lean... minus her short, chunky, completely adorable legs! Shes sleeping great now (woo hoo!) but I'm fiercely protective of her getting good, quality sleep! I don't want any sleep regression in our house!
Allie is good except that she apparently sleeps WAY too soundly and cant hear robbers outside of the house! Now that London is a little more self sufficient, Allie is getting more attention and she LOVES it! She's a scoundrel!

Non B'ham news: Papa was put on some medicine that temporarily devastated him mentally, but he has been taken off that particular medicine and is doing better every day. Praise the Lord!!! He looks great and from Mom's reports, he is getting stronger and more clear minded daily! So thankful for his improvements.. for he and for mom. She was put through the ringer with needing to be with him all of the time. She has been so patient and loving and I'm glad she is getting a little more time to do the things that she needs to do for she and dad. She stays so busy, poor thing! She's such an optimist though, so there is always a sunny side!

Our big exciting news?!?!? MAMY'S ENGAGED!!!! I don't know the story yet, so ill have to get an update with pictures! Ryan (you can see his pictures from the bday party post) is such a nice guy and we are all celebrating with them! Congratulations you two love birds! We couldn't be happier for you! (You are getting a pearl of a girl, Ryan!!) Here's hoping they decide to move to Birmingham!! :)

I guess that's all for now! As soon as I can get myself back up and running I'll post all kinds of pictures for everyone to see! I love you all!
