Barry took the family with him, and from what I understand, the kid-o's were troopers! They sat through hours of tennis, but one little guy was plum tuckered out by the time they got home. Still has his Burger King crown on and everything!! :)

State Finalist
Barry's tennis team made it to the state tournament this weekend and wouldn't you know, Barry and his partner (and dearly loved friend) Trey Garrett made it to the FINALS!!! HOLY COW! I KNOW! Barry played for little bit last year before tennis was put on hold due to a hand injury, but otherwise, he hasn't played in 15 YEARS! And he made it to the finals! We were all so excited for them! They ended up coming in second, but that is quite a feat for not much practice! Way to go big brother! I smell a victory next year!!

Po Po Powers
I haven't had the chance to brag on my awesome husband lately! As of a few weeks ago, Powers was officially hired to be a Birmingham Police Officer!!! Woooo hoooo! Congratulations Powers!
Powers first interviewed with the Bham Police Dept 15 months ago, I believe. Since then, he has gotten in fantastic shape, has worked his behind off, and is in the know on all things civil duty! We have watched hours upon hours upon hours of television with the subject being police & detective work, jail house, gang land, special forces... anything along those lines. He has watched til I am blue in the face! :)
He will start police academy on July 18th. (Which is nothing like the movie 'Police Academy' Im told!) He will be in academy for 5 months, then will be out on the streets with a partner. He is constantly studying to be ready for academy and Serenity is doing a top notch job of being his study partner! So much so that she can even say the whole phonetic alphabet!
I am so proud of him and excited to see what opportunities await him! Praying he will be a beacon of faith to his other academy classmates and then on to future partners he may have! Congratulations, Po Po Powers!
(Din Din, Po Po is the slang term for police!)

Mimming!
Our next door neighbor built a neighborhood pool last summer and we have taken full advantage of it! We are so spoiled! We literally spend all of Saturday and Sunday EVERY WEEKEND at the pool! It is awesome! Luckily, London has become a good little first time swimmer because of it! We try to repay our neighbor by cooking something wonderful every weekend. It is just sublime. Sun. Swimming. Chef Powers's culinary creations. Yes, please!

Mobile Updates
Pictures of London from my phone... terrible quality, but I still like to share!
Poor mistreated dog. Sitting in the car seat to get attention. Pathetic!
Any moms out there that haven't bought the 'on the go applesauce', they are like magic. London LOVES them! Keeps her entertained at the grocery, etc. I always have one in my purse these days!
Hair was done and cute when we left the house... this is what she looks like everyday when we get to daycare. How do you keep pony tail holders in little girls hair? Please help!!! Suggestions? Super glue is cruel right? I'll try anything!!
She only takes a paci at nap/night time but were getting rid of it all together in 2 months! Wish us luck! Lovey, however (her blanket) is a different story. She LOVES lovey! We kiss Lovey before bed every night!
Again, post pony tail hair.
So funny... :(
Allie looks thrilled to be getting some Lu Lu loving!
Asleep at the Dr's office a few weeks ago. I don't think I'll ever forget that moment with my sweet baby asleep on me! Such a sweet time!
Sister In Christ
Our sweet Serenity accepted Christ into her heart a few weeks ago while at Vacation Bible School in Columbus! We are so excited for her! I have laughed and laughed about how when the kids are at Boopers, she can get them to do anything! We have talked to Renny about this decision for years now and she was just never ready. Send her to Boopers and VOILA! Saved!! :) (This is the same woman that kept my baby for one day and had her walking all over the house! She's amazing!)
I asked Renny to tell me a little about her decision and below is her story. (Dictated over the phone)
'I was a vbs and the preacher asked everyone stay in the church. He said he was about my age when he accepted Christ as his savior. He asked us to think about if we wanted to do it or not. I stayed to listen to the preacher tell us more. I started crying because it was uncomfortable sitting there and a few minutes later a lady came and sat with me and asked me if I wanted Jesus Christ to be my savior. I said yes and she asked if I'd done bad things in life like lie and call people names and that kind of stuff. I said yes and we prayed for God to forgive me for doing bad things and asked Christ to be my Savior.'
Friday, June 17, 2011. That is Serenity's rebirth day! I am so proud of her and excited for what Christ is going to do in her life! Praying that we will use our time with her wisely to fill her up and send her home ready to be His light! Praying she will grow to know and understand Him more, that He will speak clearly to her and guide her path straight to Him! I can't wait to spend eternity with my precious sister! Hallelujah!

"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
AMEN!!
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Woo hoo!! AMEN!!
And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.
AMEN!!

Days that end with a naked baby
Having a baby (toddler- can't bring myself to say it...) has changed my life in so many ways. My new favorite thing in life is having to undress my baby to bring her in the house. I always think it's a day gone good when she is just too gross/wet/dirty to bring inside! Last weekend we washed Allie (waaaaaaaaay overdue) and London found the waterhose, of course. Before we knew it, she was shooting water in the air and was absolutely drenched! I love that this child is a little water baby! We stripped her down after a long day of play and went inside to get clean... I just love these days!
Our new words are:
Melmo (Elmo)- obsessed with Melmo. We haven't even pulled our elmo doll out yet but apparently they have one at day care and it's all she talks about these days! How come kids are so enamored by Elmo? Why not cookie monster or big bird? Baffles me!
Mimming (Swimming)- we go every weekend, so she's learned how to say it! And she's good at it! She will put her face in the water when were gliding her across on her belly and blow bubbles! Way to go, Lulu!
Bi (Bite)- she wants a bite of everything! She is not a picky eater and will eat anything she can put in her mouth... except hotdogs :( We usually just graze from the time we get home from daycare until bedtime. Constant stream of food in her belly!
Tutu- her lady parts!
We are working so hard on 'I love you'. She can say 'thank you' and 'bless you' but we haven't started saying love you yet. I sing her a song that ends in a loud ' I LOVE YOU' (three pronounced syllables). She will wait until I finish and say three sounds just like I did, very pronounced, but you wouldn't understand that she's saying 'I love you' unless you knew what we were practicing. Soon enough!
I have said this at every stage, but this age is my favorite so far! She is starting to throw little fits (so funny and dramatic) but other than that, life is so much fun! She loves to be chased, LOVES to dance, loves to be tickled, has started making concerned and shocked faces that are so funny, loves to run around outdoors and pick up rocks and bugs, loves to read, and loves to talk about body parts (nose, eyes, etc). She is so fun to play with! I love this age!
We went for our 15 month check up a few weeks ago and surprisingly she is still tall and skinny! Her belly will tell you otherwise! She was 75% in height and 20% in weight! I was shocked!
Here are a few pictures from our week!

It's HOT outside!
Our water hose fun!
Here she is before school yesterday. So cute with her pig tails! These were out and hair in a rats nest before we got to day care :(
Were babysitting the twins Saturday night, and Renny's coming to live with us for the summer today, so maybe I can get a boat load of pictures for the good ole family blog!
Have a great day!

The Movie of Our Lives
A good friend of mine posted a blog post the other day about what if someone made a movie of her life... which actors and actresses would play her family? She asked her family members and here are their responses. ( You can't really tell there's a link in that sentence... here's the link if you'd like to look! http://awholelottasomething.blogspot.com/2011/06/my-movie-family.html) I must say, they got it spot on! Good job, Myra! I had so much fun thinking about her idea so I called all my family and copied here. Here we go... If they made a Rhea/Lane/Beyer family movie... here's our cast!
We'll start with this guy... the hubbs. Apparently he looks like everyone famous because everyone thought he looked like someone different. You be the judge..
