Easter Egg Fun

An Easter Post coming, but here were a few fun shots I took of our easter eggs!

This was my favorite egg because it looks like a new little life is about to spring forth from the crack in the middle! I joked that knowing our luck, it would be a mouse for sure!

We let a number of them soak overnight and the colors were so richly developed! This was the prettiest bunch we've ever had so far, I think!
And if you invert the colors, they look like this!

gardens

Mercy. I like to blog because my mind goes so quickly. It's a fun way to remember who I was, what little piece of heaven we were finding through all the months. This day is so far away in my memory that I almost forgot about it, but lo, I remember...
heaven = her.

We went to one of our botanical gardens to practice shooting with my new camera. Here were a few outtakes. They're not very good but we're still learning!
Chubby hands. The last piece of baby still in her and she's holding on to them for as long as she can. I am thankful!

I'm snapping away and all the while, this little lady is ahead of me running, laughing, and screaming 'I love you's' over her shoulder to me. I put this picture on instagram with this caption:
Read in proverbs tonight about how a soothing tongue is a tree of life. The verse reminded me of her. This tiny tot who speaks a wellspring of encouragement over me all the time. Thanking God out loud for the privilege to grow up with and be taught by her.

What a joy she is. She has made my life delightful. :)

A Cinderella Story

You guys. I loaded so many posts on here and haven't had enough time to come back and write thoughtful words to go with all the pictures! I have SO many things to update so I'm going to do my best to write quick, concise thoughts!

A while back, we went to see Cinderella with our best friends. We thought it fitting since these two are a current day Cinderella story.... except that they fight like two cantankerous old married people... but then they make up and look at each other all googley-eyed JUST LIKE in the movie!

Cinderella dress (that lights up and sparkles) and gloves. Outfit on point! Also, I'm afraid the lights portion of this dress was quite the distraction. The lights blink for about 12 seconds at a time, then they turn off. She turned the lights on no less than 350 times during the movie. We sat up front so I'm sure she looked like a little glowing blue orb of Cinderella princessness!!
The movie was cute and Cinderella was a very sweet, kind girl (and holy beautiful, she was gorgeous) but I missed the music from the original version! There is so much iconic music with this story and I was sad it wasn't included!

Altogether a darling day! I'll stick with our own version of prince charming though, he's way cuter! :)
