just one of those weekends you love....

Powers and I had an awesome, relaxing, sun drained weekend! We were in town, not really traveling, and house sitting for a friend so we had a mini stay-cation! My hubbs is the best ever! He is so sweet and good to me and lets me do whatever girlie stuff I need to! I love you so much, P! Saturday I took the demon dog for a run, which ended up not being fun, she pulled me all over the neighborhood :( then went back to our friends house, laid out by the pool, and got crispy fried sunburned! Im a tomato.
That afternoon, powers and i went to Stadium Fest... a free christian concert in bham that lasted all day. It was fun! Some of our friends came and met us later on that night, so we really just hung out and relaxed with a few hundred other folks! Here are some pics of powers and I together since i never post any of us!

Then, Sunday morning, bright and early, Powers and the Blaaaaaaazich's packed it up and headed to Talladega for the race! Powers loved it! He was TOTALLY worn out when he got home, but i think it was well worth it. He said that there are no words to describe the level of redneckiness in attendance! Apparently, no matter your size or weight, it is a race day rule to come shirtless. Yuk! Dale Earnhardt Jr. was by far the class favorite... Powers took some video of the race and if a driver other than Dale was in first place, all the fans would flip him off and yell dirty words at him as they all passed by! Hilarious! I love the south!

Here's a quick video of the cars passing. The average speed was 200 mph or something like that! Lord knows! There was a really exciting wreck on the last lap that Powers said to youtube so you can see all the action!

Easter Mayhem 2009

It's the weekend and I've got internet access! Whoo hoo! I just peeled potatoes for my friend Kristine, so now Im letting her pay me back by washing clothes and using her connection! Thank you, my sweet friend!

Easter 2009 was awesome! We had a Beyer/Lane/Rhea spend the night party friday night, the Saturday night, the Patriarch and Matriarch Lane's came to stay! The food was awesome (sorry Powers and I stress you out. momma!), the company was great, the weather was perfect, our church service was awesome and the choir music was beautiful! Go Booper!

Easter afternoon the whole clan came over for lunch. Ages ran from 94 to 2 months. That is amazing to me! We are so blessed! I hope we have a million more easter's just like this one...

We had 3 camera's going hence LOTS of pictures! Here's some... I may have to follow up with others. Video's too! Ill post those next!

A Day At The Park

We went to one of Charley's softball games this past weekend. It was a gorgeous, kind of chilly day, but the perfect ball park day. Charley pulled out a Big V! Go girl! She did great! Check out killer...
