38 weeks and holding our breath!
Wow! Can you believe it? I am really emotional today thinking about the past 8.5 months. Where did they go? Wasn’t it just yesterday that I was praying for just ONE of these? Now its almost time to meet my little tiny baby face to face! I love our Creator! I can’t believe this journey! His plan is so perfect in every way! He is immeasurable to me! I have been blown away time after time after time as I’ve seen God’s blueprint for this baby’s growth revealed and realized how He intended to change ME in the process…. there is no explanation for life other than GOD IS GOOD AND PERFECT.
This update makes me so excited! Ahh! Baby’s daddy is ready RIGHT NOW. No more waiting needed for him… let’s just do this! He is feeling better and is ready right this minute! I am okay with God letting us know when it’s time! We are having braxton hicks contractions finally! We had them all day Monday! We go back to the doctor tomorrow morning so we’ll see how much we’ve progressed since last week! The anticipation is finally getting to me! Do you think Shim is a boy or a girl?! Who is baby going to look like?! Will it have precious dimples like it’s daddy? Will it have big ole eyes like it’s momma?! We’ll know soon enough I guess!! :)
Your pregnancy: 38 weeks
How your baby's growing:
Your baby has really plumped up. She weighs about 6.8 pounds and she's over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek). She has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold her hand for the first time! Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.Wondering what color your baby's eyes will be? You may not be able to tell right away. If she's born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If she's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time she's 9 months old. That's because a child's irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after she's born, but they usually won't get "lighter" or more blue. (Green, hazel, and brown eyes have more pigment than gray or blue eyes.)

Clearwater Baby Shower and a bump pic!
Here are a few pictures from the soiree. I didn't even get a picture with my hostesses! Or anyone for that matter! I don't know what I was thinking! Check out how adorable the decorations were though! I threw a fit about how cute it was all afternoon!

25 weeks!
Before I give baby updates, I wanted to give a big shout out to everyone who has either sent pictures or posted pictures of their kid-o's lately! We LOVED the halloween costumes and i have loved getting to see all my friend's offspring's grow! We are in love with them all long distance! (How many times can I say 'love'?!)
I liked this weeks updates! We're 25 weeks and the WEIGHT of a rutabaga. Maybe that's where I've gotten confused by the sizing... some weeks were the LENGTH of an item but I noticed this week we are the WEIGHT of an item. It's all coming together now!
How your baby's growing
Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.Yay! Baby fat!! That makes my day! I wonder what color hair baby has?!?! Powers was a toehead so I bet its blond! Anybody recognize this guy?!?!? Sorry the pictures so bad... I had a time with this!
This goodie is for a friend who reads our blog!
