Sunday was a big day for us..
So I read in some crazy article that your baby needs to have learned to roll over by 5 months. If not, you may have need for concern that they are developing properly. Whoever wrote that is crazy and mean, because reading that as a 1st time mom had me worried to death that my peanut wasn’t rolly polly yet! I’ve been praying and wishing for her to roll and she DID!! She wasn’t all that shocked by her roll, but she was flabbergasted that her mom was acting like a maniac! I was so excited for her!
We also have not been sleeping. And when I say not been sleeping, it’s gotten to the point where I can’t remember blocks of time during the day. We. Need. Sleep. To digress, London has been just great- she’s not fussy or angry at night, she’s just been waking up every 3 hours to eat and anytime in between if her paci falls out. Her mom is pooped. HOWEVER, my terrific friend and future co-parent, Katy, brought me a book to read on establishing healthy sleep habits. My poor baby, I had practically been torturing her by keeping her up too late at night! This book claims that the amount of sleep they get is directly related to how quickly they learn… we put her to bed super early and voila! She’s hitting all these milestones left and right! She slept so much better this weekend and even seems more well rested! Happy, smart girl! Now we need to figure out how to nap…
Our second milestone was finding out that our tongue sticks out! One of my favorite discoveries!! I claim responsibility for teaching London’s future husband how to stick his tongue out! Ill see if I can’t get that picture from his discovery! Here she is showing off her new trick. I don’t know how she did it, but that tongue was out of her mouth ALL DAY LONG yesterday. My tounge gets tired if I poke it out too long! So cute and funny though! It made for a fun family day!
Gorgeous older sister weeded flower beds with me yesterday! Woo hoo! I LOVE having her live with us! She is such a sweetheart, trooper, and FANTASTIC big sister! (Not to mention a great muffin maker!)
(If you haven’t noticed, our power is out at the office so I’ve been handed ‘writing time’ for the blog! Sorry Im a little wordy!)
